Abstract

The current study explores the relationship between personality traits, market characteristics and entrepreneurial decision using the Market Entry Game. The experimental game used in this study has a pencil and paper infrastructure, which is an adaptation from the software versions used in other studies. The experimental game, including 80 subjects, shows that the only personality trait from the three measured, that influence the entry decision is risk-propensity. Regarding the market characteristics, the results show that market volatility has no influence upon the entry decision. Also aspects regarding the ecological validity of Market Entry Game are discussed.
